Vicious circle
I am doing lots of things that have to tell on the blog. But I do not have time, because I have lots of things to do. And so I have to tell these things I am doing, but then again I do not have time. And so on... I am busy most evenings on weekdays and almost every weekend too. I go to the gym often, I keep playing basketball, I meet friends and colleagues, I am doing some trips and journeys and I have things to do at home the little free time that these activities left me. I am having hectic months since I came back from Christmas and the thing is that I am enjoying a lot. I like to feel this slight stress. However, something has had to happen to make me stop for a few days and force me to be quiet at home. Nothing too bad or too painful... or at least not yet while the anaesthesia is still working... This morning I went to the dentist to get two wisdom teeth taken out. They were already out and I just did it out of precaution, so it was rather quick. I think it didn't take more than 90 seconds or maybe 2 minutes to do it: unbelievable.
The thing is that, as I said, this will keep me quiet at home for a couple of days at least. I have been moving a bit around in the last few weeks and have more plans in mind (and tickets already booked). I have been for a weekend to Saarbrücken, which is not great but it was ok. I went to visit a very interesting UNESCO World Heritage site nearby, really impressive. I have also spent a few days in Milan visiting lots of friends, it was great! I will post some photos soonish...
Next month I am off to Düsseldorf for one night and then to a town near Dortmund to meet some relatives who are coming to that part of the country. In April I will be back in Düsseldorf for a few days to play a basketball tournament with teams from other parts of Europe. They have told me that this tournament is organised every year but it is not very big, so there may be up to 10 teams or so. And then I will also go to Berlin again to meet some friends and visit the endless city, so interesting!
Last, not not least, I am going back to Manchester in June, and I am really looking forward to that. I am going with a friend from work to visit Ray, a very good friend I left there. I also have to sort out some pending stuff with my address at the bank and my correspondence and blah blah. I will try to visit something else and maybe go one day to Sheffield, Blackpool or Liverpool. We will see...
But the best is still to come! I am going to get a Bahncard50 by the end of this month. That means that I pay an amount of money to get it (about 220€ I think) and then I have a 50% discount in all national trains for a whole year!! I can even go to Paris, Amsterdam, Zurich, Vienna... So I hope to have an interesting summer too. Needless to say that my savings are down to 0... But I am having fun and enjoying life non-stop now that I can.
Thankfully, things at the office are quiet and it is not very stressful. On the contrary. That is not very good either, because who knows when they don't need me anymore... Things are not 100% safe on that side but I prefer not to live with the fear; I rather enjoy the moment and hope for the best. Oh, and by the way, I almost forgot that I have already turned 30!

Goddamit rafa you should have told me you were going to saarbrucken, I studied two years there!
Not a very beautiful city to say the least, but so amazing and fun if you know where to go :) It's full of bars, students, parties, cafés... and nice walks can be done all around.
Next time then ;)
Oh no! How would I have guessed you studied there for two years? :-( Anyway, it is close enough to Frankfurt and I am sure that it is much nicer in summer. Besides, I would like to have a closer look to that industrial site, as I went to see an exhibition there and not the site itself. So I am likely to go back throughout this year. Anyway, I have a friend there so I didn't go totally blind. I will ask you for some tips before I go back. Thanks!!
