Visit to the doctor

I went to the doctor last week. He sent me to a specialist who performed some tests on me. I had to go back this week to discuss the results. I got frozen when he told me...:

"You are not straight."
"Don't be such a dinosaur, doc! First of all, being gay is not a problem nowadays. And second, that's something that everyone knows, from here to the Far East. What a shitty doctor you are."
"No, no, don't get me wrong. Look at the x-rays picture of your back. Can you see your spine? It's not straight, see the lumbar area."
"Oh, fuck... Yes, yes. Now I get your point and you are right."

So, the thing is that I went to check my aching lower back and at this point of my life they found out that I've got scoliosis. If you run like crazy to check that on Wikipedia (I am not including the link here on purpose) you will freak out because they always explain and show the most extreme cases and photos. I just have a little. It is so little that it could not be found by normal examination when I was growing up (my mother used to take me there because two of my sisters had some problems). The doctor said that such a little thing can only be seen with x-rays. On top of that, apparently my left leg is slightly shorter than the right one, but less than a centimetre. So he said I should not be worried, it won't get much worse and it was nothing to switch on the alarms, being as I am a healthy sporty guy. I don't know... He looked so confident that I hesitate whether he is the best or I should go for a second opinion (because I read Wikipedia and now I am scared shitless).

The problem that made me go there in the first instance was another one and he gave me already some exercises that I have to do everyday; it's nothing, 5 minutes, just to work out the muscles in the lower back. I don't think a party summer like the one I am having is going to be the best option for this...
