The "Claire Bennet spirit"
My friends Iñaki and Ana and me have a "role model" in our lives with regards to dating guys. Ana explained us that she and her sister thought first about this idea, and the two of us liked it immediately so much that we made it also our own. We are so much into these kind of ideas... I am talking about the "Claire Bennet spirit". Have you ever watched the tv series "Heroes"? Claire Bennet was the teenager cheerleader. She was blonde, very cute, apparently fragile but indestructible in reality. Whenever she got wounded, she would heal immediately.
On the first episode, there is a scene where Claire asks a friend to film her with a camera. She climbs up a kind of bridge like 80 feet high and jumps off from the structure, smashing her body against the floor. Then she stands up in one piece, puts her arm back in her shoulder, perrrrfect cheerleader, diiiiiiiva divine to die for, looks at the camera and says something like: "This is Claire Bennet and that was thump 1000th. Here I go for the 1001st", or something like that. Well, it may have been slightly adapted to our ideal by our twisted minds but it is more or less what she says, you get the idea, don't you?
So these are my friends and me: thump after thump, smashing ourselves against the ground, once and again and again and again. But indestructible, ready and willing to take the 1001st thump if necessary. The bad thing is not to get wounded, as wounds heal like Claire Bennet's. The bad thing would be if they didn't heal. Sometimes they take longer, some other times shorter... but it is always better when you have someone to help to clean them.
