Dismissed

I haven't got the supervisor in building archaeology post, I was expecting something like that. Although I liked the idea of being a supervisor (in spite of having more responsibility and work to do) I was expecting a negative answer. Getting the job would've been more surprising for me. But, even when this has been the normal end for the story of the application, I'm a bit disappointed. This was a good test as well to see how good I'm considered here. I'm pretty sure about my skills and the things I can see and say in front of an old building, but I'm afraid they're not useful here because their objectives, methodologies and objects of study are very different. Therefore, they need someone with more experience in commercial archaeology in the United Kingdom.

Anyway, this is not the end of the world. I continue working in the same company and they're still busy in the buildings department, so they have said that I may be sent out to record some buildings in London. I'll see, they'll tell me in the next few weeks. So when I know, I'll tell you. Is time to get the experience I don't have and be up to the best level for the next time.
