Primera parada en Sheffield. De izquierda a derecha estamos: yo, Luca, Loo, Paulina, Ben, Idoia y Juliette. Eso es la plaza que está enfrente de la estación de tren.
First stop in Sheffiled. From the left to the right we are: me, Luca, Loo, Paulina, Ben, Idoia and Juliette. This is the square in front of the train station.




Este es el coche que alquilamos esta vez. Mucho más amplio que la vez anterior, más cómodo, mismo precio y diesel :o)
This is the car we hired this time. Much bigger than last time, more comfortable, same price and diesel :o)








La abadía de Whitbey. Era impresionante desde todos los puntos de vista. Aquí la vemos desde el Este.
Whitby abbey. It was impressive from all points of view. We can see it here from the East.







Otra vista de la abadía desde el Noreste. Este lado se conservaba mejor que el lado Sur.
Another view from the Northeast. This side preserved better than the South.







Esto es el interior desde el Este hacia el Oeste (hacia la cabecera y el altar).
This is the inside from the East to the West (towards the head and the altar).










Foto de grupo aproximadamente donde se situaba el altar. En el suelo se había marcado la localización de una iglesia anterior de tres naves son ábsides semicirculares.

La bahía de Scarborough. Hacía frío como para bañarse en el mar.
Scarborough bay. It was cold to have a bath in the sea.










Ben, Luca y yo con el castillo de Scarborough al fondo. Es una pena que llegásemos tarde porque tenía buena pinta.

¡El castillo no era inexpugnable! Encontramos un punto débil en las murallas. Pudimos haberlo invadido pero decidimos que tal vez en otro momento. No nos apetecía mucho ser denunciados por actos de vandalismo contra el Patrimonio Inglés
The castle wasn't impregnable! We found a weak point in the walls. We could have invaded it but we decided that we'd do it maybe in other moment. We weren't really keen to be reported for acts of vandalism against the English Heritage.











Algunas de las casas mejor conservadas del casco antiguo de York. Así de juntas y de torcidas debieron ser la mayoría de las casas de la Europa medieval.
Some of the best pereserved houses of York's old town. The houses where really close one to the other and they weren't straight. That's the way most of the houses probably looked like in the medieval Europe.












Foto en el interior de la catedral de York. Tuvimos un poco de mala suerte porque algunas de las partes que normalmente se exponen estaban cerradas.
